| The Classic MPPT Charge Controller will
substantially increase the flexibility, features and range
currently found on MPPT controllers. The Classic is
the only MPPT controller that has Arc Default Protection,
that will soon be required by the NEC, making The Classic
the safest controller available. These charge controllers
also include ground fault protection so that a separate GFP
breaker assembly is not necessary and leaves those breaker
spaces free for other uses. Three models accommodate
solar arrays with up to 150, 200, or 250 VDC of operating
voltage. The Classic is the first controller to offer
this high of a voltage range, which allows the module
strings to be larger, wire runs more efficiently and now
there is the ability to place the array further from the
power center without having to increase the size of the
costly copper wire. The Classic has MPPT modes for solar, wind or
hydro with user adjustable power curves. It also has a
learning mode for self optimization. No hub is
required for stacking Classics to act as one large
controller.
The Classic has a built in Ethernet, USB and RS-232 ports
for two-way communications. An internal IP address
allows The Classic to be a mini web server when hooked up to
broadband. It has 32MB of memory for data storage and
a wizard driven setup that covers battery bank size, string
voltage, wind turbine selection, power and wire loss, PV
breaker sizing and more. |
